This is a fun Valentine’s Day gift idea! Brownies cut into little heart shapes using cookie cutters. I make these cute treats using a boxed brownie mix and then swirl peanut butter throughout. It’s kind of like a buckeye candy…remember those peanut butter balls? Let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter!
Brownie mix, your favorite brand
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Follow the package directions from your favorite brownie mix and spread the batter evenly in a baking pan.
Combine melted butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract and stir until well blended. Drop in spoonfuls on top of the brown mixture. Take a butter knife and make swirls throughout. Bake accordining to package directions.
Note: I made these in an 11 x 13 pan so they would be thin enough for using cookie cutters. I baked them for about 30 minutes. Keep an eye on them while they are baking so they don’t get too dry.
